How do you use the One-Way Shoe Stretchers?
The DASCO ONE-WAY SHOE STRETCHER has been designed to be used in the home to ensure that the stretching is concentrated at the point where the upper of the shoe presses uncomfortably on the foot.
1) The stretcher is ready to use on a left or right shoe immediately after the moveable corn pieces have been inserted into the appropriate holes cut in the forepart. This product is designed for home use only.
2) Insert the stretcher fully into the shoe and turn the handle clockwise until pressure begins to shoe on the upper material. DO NOT OVERSTRETCH.
3) An optional step, stretching is made easier if the leather is slightly damp. DO NOT dry out by artificial heat which could cause damage to the shoe materials. It is best to leave the stretcher in the shoe for at least 24 hour for the shape to set.
SPECIAL NOTE: For best results the leather should first be dampened with DASCO LEATHER STRETCH aerosol spray. This will soften the leather without discolouration to help it stretch.
To remove the stretcher, turn the handle anti-clockwise.
How do you use the Two-Way Shoe Stretcher?
The DASCO TWO-WAY STRETCHER has been designed to enable footwear to be stretched in the home over both width and length. The stretcher can be used on a eft or right shoe. The moveable corn pieces can be inserted into the appropriate holes cut in the forepart, as required. The product is designed for home use only.
1) Insert the stretcher fully into the shoe. Take up the length tension by turning the knurled handle in a clockwise direction.
2) If length stretching is required, continue to turn the knurled handle until the pressure begins to shoe on the surface of the shoe. DO NOT OVERSTRETCH.
3) The width can be stretched by turning the metal opened handle in a clockwise direction. Continue turning until pressure appears on the upper material. DO NOT OVERSTRETCH.
4) It is best to leave the stretcher in the shoe for at least 24 hours.
5) To remove the stretcher turn the handles anti-clockwise.
SPECIAL NOTE: For best results the leather should first be dampened with DASCO LEATHER STRETCH aerosol spray. This will soften the leather without discolouration to help it stretch.
